I lived in the Philippines for more than three years and didn't see one beef cow on the island of Cebu. There were plenty of musk ox and the beef served at restaurants (presumably) came from Australia. David's Steak House (good chef, lousy poker player) served American Black Angus so the once-a-year treat was a rib-eye at his establishment. It was the least I could do after taking his money at Texas Hold 'em.
