Funny things happen around animals. There's funny that is if no one gets hurt. I had the misfortune of growing up on a dairy farm. One evening, my brother was letting Daisy, the meanest holstein in the county, out from the corral to join her twin calves for supper in the calf barn. I was barely old enough to reach over the bottom half of the door and undo the latch. Couldn't get it. Next thing I know Daisy has her head gently placed under my butt, picks me up, perfectly balanced (which was surely just luck), set's me off to the side and puts her head over the half door to great her children. My mother was standing 20 yards away. We were in such awe of the respect that cow had for a human child.
